MACOMB, Illinois — The Western Illinois University incoming undergraduate and graduate students will receive a three percent deduction in tuition for the 2016-17 school year and receive the cost guarantee rate for fees, room and meal plan.
The Board of Trustees approved the rate at Friday’s meeting.
In December, the BOT approved the 3 percent reduction in tuition for new incoming students who are accepted and enroll in the 2016-17 academic year. The board also approved to offer in-state tuition rates for all US students undergraduate and graduate students. Prior to that approval, in-state tuition was only offered to students from Illinois, Iowa, Indiana, Missouri and Wisconsin.
The next regular board meeting will be held June 9-10 at the WIU-QC Riverfront campus.
