DAVENPORT, Iowa — The Project of the Quad Cities is celebrating three decades. The organization held its annual Red Ribbon Dinner Saturday, March 5.

The fundraising gala was held at the Radisson Hotel in Davenport, Iowa and included auctions, raffles, music and a meal. The event is expected to bring in nearly $60,000.

The theme for this year's event was "Faces of HIV," meant to bring together people of all backgrounds.

"It's a coming together of people from all walks of life, socioeconomic backgrounds who have been impacted or just care about people living with this disease, would like to help other individuals understand get educated and the monies that we raise here do that," said Thea Hansen from Project of the Quad Cities.

The organization gives 500 HIV and STI tests each year.
