A local chef who works in the Iowa 80 Kitchen in Walcott, Iowa, was set to be on an episode of the Food Network’s show “Chopped.”
Chef Jake Harbeck was among four chefs competing on this episode of “Chopped.” The episode features “Truck Stop Stars” and aired at 9 p.m. Tuesday, March 1, 2016.

Harbeck has worked at the full-service restaurant inside the World’s Largest Truckstop for several years. He followed in his late mother’s footsteps, who also worked in the Iowa 80 Kitchen.
