Certified Lego Pro displays large scale building models at Figge Art Museum

Large scale models of world famous structures made out of Legos will be on display for three months at the Figge Art Museum in Davenport, Iowa.

DAVENPORT, Iowa — Large scale models of world famous structures made out of Legos were set up for display Thursday, Feb. 18, at the Figge Art Museum. The models are made by certified Lego professional Adam Reid Tucker.

Tucker says Legos are a great medium to work with because they're 3-D and don't require glue or cutting. The designs inspire Lego kits and other products sold in stores. The largest model stands 17-feet high of a building in Dubai.

Tucker is one of only 14 certified Lego professionals around the world.

"I want to show new generations that are growing up on the computer that they don't need to rely on that - it's just a tool. But it shouldn't be a replacement for your brain and your imagination," said Tucker.

The exhibition will be on display in the Figge for three months.
