The Salvation Army fell short of its 2015 holiday Red Kettle Campaign goal. While nearly $800,000 was raised, that number was about $23,000 short of it's goal. The shortage comes as the Salvation Army is facing more than $130,000 in state and federal funding cuts.

The Red Kettle Campaign, which began back in 1891, is an international campaign to feed needy families during Thanksgiving and Christmas. The Salvation Army also provides adult rehabilitation, prison ministries, elderly and veteran services.
