Police were sent to 250 53rd Street at about 6:45 p.m. Wednesday, February 12, 2014 after someone called 911 and reported finding a woman's body at the house.  Investigators determined the woman was 39-year-old Michelle Woods, and her death was called suspicious.

Maurice Hines, who lived with Michelle Woods at the time of her death, identified himself as a person of interest in the case.

An ex-girlfriend said Hines had a violent temper when they were together, and court records showed at least five women had been issued orders of protection against Hines over a period of about seven years.

Two years later, Woods' death remains unsolved; it remains under investigation by Moline detectives and Illinois State Police.
