Courts find man guilty in 2012 Muscatine bank robbery

An Indiana man has been found guilty in the 2012 robbery of U.S. Bank in Muscatine. He stole over $3,000 at gunpoint.

DAVENPORT, Iowa — An Indiana man has been found guilty of robbing U.S. Bank in Muscatine, Iowa in November of 2012.

Thomas Alexander Davis III, 40, of Anderson, Indiana was arrested February 2015.

Davis showed a small handgun to the teller and demanded money. He was able to obtain more than $3,000 in cash before running off. At the time he was arrested, Davis was a suspect in three more bank robberies from 2012 and 2013 in Wisconsin, Kansas and Illinois, according to court documents.

Davis could serve up to 20 years in prison, a fine up to $250,000 and supervised release. A sentencing date has not yet been set.
