A local man pleaded guilty to several charges in connection with the robbery of a hotel in Muscatine, Iowa.

Timothy Wadden was arrested after surveillance cameras captured images of a man, armed with a handgun, robbing the clerk at the Hotel Muscatine, 2915 N. Highway 61, on Sunday, November 22, 2015. Wadden was initially charged with first-degree robbery.

Wadden pleaded guilty to a half-dozen charges at a hearing February 8, 2016, according to Muscatine County Attorney Alan Ostergren. Wadden pleaded guilty to second-degree robbery, third-degree theft, and to being a felon in possession of a firearm. He also pleaded guilty to misdemeanor harassment, interference with official acts, and possession of a controlled substance.

“The plea agreement calls for sentences on all counts to be run consecutively for a total term of incarceration of not to exceed 26 years and one month,” Ostergren said. “Wadden will not be eligible for parole until he has served a mandatory minimum term of seven years.”

Wadden will be sentenced March 25, 2016. He remained in the Muscatine County Jail.

Tiffany Michelle Williams, 39, also of Muscatine, was also charged with first-degree robbery and fourth-degree theft in connection with the crime. Court records showed she was still awaiting trial.
