DAVENPORT, Iowa (AP) — A man and a teenager have pleaded guilty to charges in connection to a drag racing crash that killed an elderly couple.

The Quad-City Times reports that 37-year-old Timothy Bell II and a 17-year-old pleaded guilty on Wednesday, February 5, 2016 to two counts of vehicular homicide by reckless driving and one count of serious injury by vehicle.

In a plea agreement, Scott County Attorney Mike Walton will dismiss two additional counts of vehicular homicide by drag racing.

Police say the teen was racing Bell in Davenport on Oct. 25 when their cars collided with a car driven by 54-year-old Jody Smith. Smith was seriously injured and her parents, 80-year-old Erma Mooberry and 90-year-old Ronald Mooberry, died from injuries.
