Dozens of restaurants owned by Food Management Partners were closing, according to a report by WHNT in Huntsville, Alabama.
These closures included 74 of the following chain restaurants: Ryan’s, Old Country Buffet, Hometown Buffet, and Fire Mountain and Country Buffet. Many locations of these restaurants permanently closed on Thursday, February 4, 2016, according to the report.
According to a statement by Ovation Brands, which was bought out by Food Management Partners in August of 2015, the 74 restaurants that were closed were “underperforming” and they were closed “for the continued viability of the brands and [the company’s] employees.”
Employees at closing restaurants were going to be given the opportunity to apply at stores still in operation.
