Someone bought a Lucky Day Lotto ticket that won $450,000 at a store in Rock Island, Illinois.
The ticket matched all five numbers in the drawing held Tuesday evening, January 26, 2016.
The winning Quick Pick ticket was sold at the Circle K store at 4423 11th Street. The store gets a $4,500 bonus – one percent of the prize amount – for selling the winning ticket.
More than 22,000 tickets in the same drawing won prized ranging from $1 to $200, according to the Illinois Lottery. The Lucky Day Lotto drawings happen twice a day, seven days a week.
“The Illinois Lottery urges the lucky winner to immediately sign the back of their ticket and keep it in a safe place until they visit one of the Lottery’s five prize centers,” said a statement from the Illinois Lottery.
Winners have one year from the date of the drawing to claim their prize.
