The line stretched around the entire front of Muscatine High School. Thousands of onlookers came out to a rally held for presidential candidate Donald Trump on Sunday afternoon, January 24, 2016.

But not everyone was there for the same reason. Some were there to support Trump, others to protest the event, and some just came to take it all in.

With the Iowa caucus right around the corner, Trump took a good portion of his hour long address to stress the importance of getting out to caucus.

Everyone's eyes were on Trump until a protestor wearing a turban was escorted out of the rally for holding a sign saying 'No Hate.'

The crowd quickly started chanting 'U-S-A, U-S-A,' and Trump followed with a comment.

"He wasn't wearing one of those hats, was he?" said Trump.

Debates of whether Trump was referring to one of his 'Make America Great Again' hats or the man's turban are ongoing.

Jean Clark, a former Muscatine High School teacher got a ticket to the Trump event, but she decided last minute not to go in and to protest outside instead.

"If children in this building spoke the way he does, they would be sent out of the classroom," says Clark.

Others say Trump is the leader this country needs.

"We need somebody to change our country, bring jobs, somebody smart, someone who can lead our country," says one Davenport Trump supporter.

Trump says some voters believe his rhetoric is too strong, but he says when he gets into the White House, things will change.

"The demeanor will be different, but it will be the same attitude. I'll be a little softer," says Trump.

The Iowa caucus will be held on February 1, 2016.
