Iowa man in prison for sexual abuse faces new charges

A Fort Dodge man currently serving a 10-year prison sentence for sexual abuse has been charged in two additional cases.

BOONE, Iowa (AP) — A Fort Dodge man currently serving a 10-year prison sentence for sexual abuse has been charged in two additional cases.

The Boone County Attorney’s Office has charged 41-year-old Jody Ray Anderson with second-degree and third-degree sexual abuse.

The charges are the result of a sex abuse investigation in Boone for incidents that occurred in 2011 and 2012. The county attorney says victims were ages 11 and 13 at the time of the abuse.

Anderson was charged with two counts of third-degree sexual abuse last year. One charge was dropped and he pleaded guilty to the other and was sentenced to prison.

Online court records indicate he has not yet acquired an attorney for the new charges.

State records show he’s at the state prison in Newton.
