Tipton, Iowa firefighters responded to a house fire early Monday morning, January 11, 2016.
The fire started a little after 12 a.m. in the 300 block of Plum Street. When crews first arrived, they spotted flames in the upper part of the house. Crews were able to keep the fire contained in one room, but there is smoke and water damage throughout the rest of the house.
Everyone that was inside the home was able to get out safely and no one was hurt. Investigators are not sure what caused it.
