A 31-year-old man from Clinton, Iowa died of injuries he suffered when the vehicle he was driving went off the road and hit a tree in rural Hanover, Illinois.
The wreck was reported to the Jo Daviess County Sheriff’s Office just after 11 p.m. Wednesday, January 6, 2016, on Illinois Route 84 south of Crazy Hollow Road.
Deputies said Alec Horst was southbound when his vehicle went off the east side of the road and struck a tree, about 1500 feet south of Crazy Hollow Road.
Horst was pronounced dead at the scene of the crash.
There were no other passengers in his vehicle.
