An Illinois middle school teacher is accused of sexually abusing a 16-year-old boy – and being caught in the act by the boy’s mother – on New Year’s Day.

Christine Loveday Taylor, 44, of Naperville, Illinois allegedly had the victim and his mother to her house for pizza January 1, 2016, according a statement from the DuPage County State’s Attorney’s Office.

”It is alleged that at some point in the evening, Taylor convinced the victim’s mother to allow the victim to walk Taylor’s dog with her. It is further alleged that at approximately 9 p.m., instead of walking the dog, Taylor took the victim to her bedroom and sexually abused him,” the statement said.

The boy’s mother reportedly caught Taylor in the act; someone else in the home called authorities and Taylor was arrested.

Taylor, a middle school teacher whom the school district identified as Christine Loveday (Taylor), was placed on administrative leave and is not allowed in any schools in the Naperville 203 district pending the investigation, according to a statement from the school district.

“While the victim in this case was not a student at Jefferson Middle School, Ms. Taylor, as a teacher, still holds a position of trust in the community,” said DuPage County State’s Attorney Robert Berlin.

Jail records showed Taylor remained held in the DuPage County Jail in lieu of $300,000 bond.

Classes resume for Naperville 203 students on Wednesday, January 6.
