Monday’s wintry mess was only the second time this season we’ve had wintry weather in the Quad Cities. And the third winter system of the season is coming on Wednesday. This won’t be a big one, but just enough to cause some slick road conditions again.

The timing of the system brings snow to our area around the morning commute on Wednesday. It will pick up a little bit through the mid-morning hours of Wednesday, tapering off for the afternoon.

Only an inch is expected out of this system. Our snowfall probability index for the Quad Cities has the number “1” as the biggest number. That means there’s a likely chance we get one inch of snow. The next-best chance is we get zero…then two…then three. So you get an idea that this isn’t going to be that big of a factor for us.

Quieter, colder weather after that as we ring in the new year.
