With the opening of the new Star Wars flick, "The Force Awakens," thousands of fans were expected to hit the movie theater on December 17, 2015.
Not much has changed since 1999 when the latest Star Wars movie was "The Phantom Menace." People were waiting in lines for several hours to get tickets, and having a ball doing it.
There were fans in costumes, camped out waiting. There was even a grandma waiting in line, a special gift to her grandchildren.
That addition to the Star Wars franchise made more than $64 million during its opening weekend.
