A Dixon, Illinois man has been accused of selling crack cocaine out of his home.

In October of 2015, investigators started looking into the sale of crack cocaine on the northwest side of the city. Their investigation led to an arrest.

George Vasquez, 57, sold crack cocaine to a confidential informant multiple times in November out of his home on Lincoln Way, according to a statement from the Dixon Police Department.

Police said they got word that Vasquez was selling crack cocaine out of his home on Wednesday, December 16. With a search warrant, investigators looked through Vasquez’s home around 6:50 p.m., finding cash and more than three grams of the drug.

Among the multiple drug-related charges Vasquez was facing, he was accused of selling cocaine within 1,000 feet of a school, the statement said. He was also being charged with several counts of unlawful possession.

Vasquez was taken to the Lee County Jail, said police.
