United Township High School (UT) students and teachers strutted their stuff on stage for charity Friday morning in their annual ugly sweater contest.

This year's contest had a retro twist, the theme was to dress up as your favorite Who-Ville character from the move "The Grinch Who Stole Christmas."

Prizes were awarded to those who were best dressed in boys, girls, and teachers categories.

The event is sponsored by Blaze Restoration Inc and raises money for UT's Fill the Stocking program. Each year, Blaze Restoration Inc donates $1,000 plus an addition $5 for each participant. All the money goes towards buying gifts for less fortunate UT students.

"For us it's really teaching them more about the fun, but it's teaching them about their involvement in the community and this is the time that they need to learn about that and see that," said Danette Simons, Vice President of Blaze Restoration.

Blaze Restoration has donated more than $10,000 towards the cause since they started sponsoring the event in 2012.
