A man is in critical condition after being thrown from his car.
According to the Scott County Sheriff’s Office, the man was driving in the 100 block of 40th Avenue in Buffalo, Iowa at 2:02am when he lost control at a curve in the road, went into a skid, and began to slide sideways.
“The vehicle crossed the yellow center line and entered into the east side ditch,” said a press release. “After entering the ditch the vehicle tripped and began to roll over several times coming to rest onto its top several hundred feet later.”
Investigators said that during the vehicle’s roll, the driver – a white man in his 20s from Buffalo, Iowa – was ejected out of his vehicle onto the road. He was transported to the hospital and is in serious condition.
The Scott County Sheriff’s Office said alcohol and speed are suspected to be contributing factors to the accident.
