When their letter is ready to go, here’s how you can send your child’s Christmas wishes to Santa.
With a little finessing, the United States Postal Service can help get your child’s letter to Santa.
Once the letter is signed and sealed, make sure your son or daughter addresses it to Santa Claus, North Pole. Let them know you’ll stick a stamp on it and mail it for them.
Next, write a reply as Santa that will later be mailed back home with a postmark from the North Pole.
The USPS recommends parents use the back of the original letter, having Santa reference his or her accomplishments from the year and end it with a friendly reminder to get to bed early on Christmas Eve.
Put that reply letter inside a new envelope with a stamp and address it to your child. Be sure to write Santa Claus, North Pole as the return address.
Take that envelope and place it inside a larger one with adequate postage addressed to:
North Pole Holiday Postmark
Postmaster
4141 Postmark Dr.
Anchorage, AK 99530-9998
Letters from Santa must be received by the Anchorage, Alaska Postmaster on or before December 15, 2015. The Post Office will take care of the rest.
Once you get the letter back, the USPS invites you to take a photo of your child and share it on social media with the hashtag #LettersFromSanta
