There is now a plan in place for Illinois Governor Bruce Rauner to back off his emergency rules, which cut off state funding for childcare assistance programs, the elderly, and many of the state's poorest residents.

Monday, November 9, 2015, a spokesperson for Illinois Governor Bruce Rauner said the Governor would "amend the emergency rule it filed at the beginning of the fiscal year. Under the amended rule, income eligibility [would] rise to 162% of the federal poverty level while current co-pays [would] remain intact."

Tuesday, November 10, 2015, lawmakers agreed to that deal.

"I applaud the effort of all involved," Republican Illinois House Rep Chad Hays said Tuesday. "I appreciate the balanced consideration of the senate sponsor, and I say, lets cut this nonsense out."

Governor Rauner has also supported proposed legislation to free up tax money to pay off lottery winners. Money would also go to communities, so they can buy things like road salt.
