A tradition is in the making to offer those who cannot afford a Thanksgiving day meal an evening to remember.

A Thanksgiving Dinner is being planned for Wednesday, November 25, 2015 at the Col Ballroom in Davenport, Iowa.  It’s a meal the whole community will be invited to, and the non-profit organization putting it on, called No Strings Attached, could use some help.

“This tradition will only be possible with help from the community,” read a statement from the organization, “with everyone giving a little we can help a lot!”

Organizers of the meal were asking for the following donations: turkey, ham, potatoes, green beans, stuffing, gravy, soda, desserts, macaroni and cheese, juice, water, corn, rolls, cranberry sauce, or volunteer time.

If you would like to donate, or would like more information, email Kirk Brown at ‘k.brown@nostringsattached.org’ or Marissa Brown at ‘m.brown@nostringsattached.org’

The event will take place the day before Thanksgiving Day from 4 p.m. – 8 p.m.
