Quad Citians found a great way to get rid of their Halloween pumpkins on November 1, 2015 - they dropped them from a ledge.

The Great Pumpkin Drop was held in Bettendorf, Iowa and was hosted by the Family Museum.

Pumpkins large and small were thrown from the building's second floor.

"The kids love to watch them splat but they also love to see someone down there getting covered and falling in it, sliding in it," said Becky Ortner. "It's like being slimed."

The event was named "The Great Pumpkin Drop" after the Charlie Brown comic.
