Police are trying to figure out who is responsible for a series of break ins at a Kewanee vapor lounge.

According to the Henry County Crime Stoppers, multiple burglaries have been reported at Sinbad’s Vapor Lounge at 731 S. Tremont Street in Kewanee, Illinois.  The burglaries started in September of 2015 and since then several hundred dollars worth of merchandise has been stolen.

Each time, the burglar broke in through a window on the side of the building, according to the Crime Stoppers. Surveillance video has shown a man between 18 and 25 years old with a thin build, a dark sweatshirt, light-colored sweatpants, and a cloth or bandanna over his face.

Investigators say “it is unknown if all the burglaries have involved the same suspect.”

In one of the burglary attempts, investigators say the man mistakenly opened the window of an apartment next door, which resulted in a confrontation with the people who lived there.  The suspect reportedly fled the scene and police were called.  That same night, another window at the business was found to have been broken.

If you have any idea who may be responsbile for the break ins, you are asked to call the Crime Stoppers at 1-800-227-2324.  You can remain anonymous. A tip leading to a felony arrest could lead to a cash reward.
