The burn ban for Clinton County has been lifted.

A statement from the State Fire Marshal, Jeffrey L. Quigle, confirmed that the ban was lifted as of 2:30 p.m., Thursday, October 22, 2015.

The ban was initially issued because conditions in the county were not good for burning, and could even pose “a danger to life or property.”

The ban had been issued Tuesday, October 13.  A burn ban was issued for Scott County two days later. That ban remained in effect.
