Days after a burn ban was issued for Clinton County, Iowa, a burn ban was issued for Scott County as well.

Because of the current dry conditions and low rain chances in the forecast, the State Fire Marshal issued a burn ban for Scott County to take effect at 3 p.m. Thursday, October 15, 2015, according to the Scott County Emergency Management Commission.  The large amount of "combustible vegetation" has made for an on-going fire threat in the county.
