A Davenport man faces numerous charges in connection with shooting at an occupied vehicle on Madison Street in August.

A surveillance camera captured video of RoyLee Richardson Jr., 25, and another person quickly leaving a location, right behind their alleged victim, shortly after 2 p.m. August 24, 2015, according to affidavits from Davenport Police.

“Richardson and another suspect follow the victim for several blocks before driving up to the victim’s vehicle at a stop sign” at 9th and Madison, the affidavits said.  That’s when Richardson allegedly got out of his vehicle and fired a .22-caliber firearm at the victim.

The victim was hit three times, “and his vehicle several more times,” the affidavits said.  A total of seven .22-caliber shell casings were recovered at the scene of the shooting.

Richardson was charged with going armed with intent, intimidation with a dangerous weapon, willful injury, criminal mischief, and domestic violence.  Court records showed Richardson was already a convicted felon after he pleaded guilty to burglary; he was also charged for being a felon in possession of a firearm.

Jail records showed Richardson was booked into the Scott County Jail Tuesday afternoon, September 29, 2015.  He was held without bond.
