An 11-year-old made headlines at the Quad Cities Marathon.
The 18th annual event took place on Sunday, September 27th, 2015.
More than 5,000 runners participated - 600 people ran the 26.2 marathon, nearly 2,000 people ran the half-marathon, and another 1,000 ran the 5K.
Among them was 11-year-old Audrey Jenkins, who won the women's 5K.
She tells News 8 she trained with her Dad for the run, but was nervous when it came to actually winning the race.
"I was kind of worried I would have a slower chip time then I thought I did, because at a couple races I got beat by five seconds because of chip time, so I was worried about that, but it ended up being okay," said Audrey.
It certainly did. Audrey finished the 5K in 18 minutes and 50 seconds.
