A Rock Island, Illinois woman faces criminal charges in connection with a hit-and-run crash that killed a man from Davenport, Iowa.
Juanita McAdams, 25, was identified Monday, September 21, as the driver who struck 71-year-old Patrick Frederick at West 4th and Gaines streets early Friday morning, September 18, 2015. The day after the wreck, police confirmed Mr. Frederick died of his injuries.
The SUV that struck Mr. Frederick had allegedly left the scene, and was found about two hours after the wreck happened.
McAdams was the only occupant in the SUV at the time of the crash.
McAdams was charged with leaving the scene of a fatality crash, and with no insurance, according to Davenport Police Captain Brent Biggs.
