Gunshot strikes Davenport home, police block portion of Division Street

Police activity on Division Street in Davenport, Iowa had a portion of the roadway blocked off.

A home on Division Street in Davenport, Iowa was struck by gunfire, according to Davenport Police.

Officers were on scene in the 600 block of Division Street and had the roadway from 6th Street to 7th Street blocked to traffic around 4 p.m. Sunday, September 20, 2015.

Police confirmed the house was struck once for sure, but neighbors reportedly believe multiple shots were fired.  Police said they do not think the house was a target, and were investigating the area.

About a half-dozen squad cars were on scene.

There have been no reported injuries. There have been no arrests.

Around 8 p.m. the day before, a house was shot at the T-intersection of Sylvan Avenue and E. 6th Street, near Tremont Avenue.
