A Des Moines, Iowa woman was recovering after a car ran into her home, causing her bed to slam her against the wall.

WHO-TV reported that Mary Ryan was in her bedroom Thursday, September 17, 2015 when a neighbor crashed a car through her wall.

"I heard a sound and I got hit," Ryan said to WHO-TV. "I guess it was like getting hit by a car, but it was actually the bed."

Ryan explained that the car crushed in the wall, causing the bed to move across the room, pinning her against the wall.  She said that she only remembers the hit but could not recall how she freed herself.

The driver, who was Ryan's next-door-neighbor, told police that she was trying to pull into her driveway but thought she saw an oncoming car, according to the report.  She said she panicked and hit the accelerator, causing her to drive into Ryan's lawn and into the house.

Ryan was taken to the hospital and was released.

Police said the driver did not have a valid license and was charged, according to WHO's report.
