The Galesburg Silver Streaks went crazy on Good Morning Quad Cities on Friday, 18, 2015. News 8 showcased the school, previewing their big game against the Moline Maroons at 7:30 p.m. at VanDyke Field. It's also Homecoming Week for the school.

Principal Roy Van Meter says more than 200 students came out for the Good Morning Quad Cities Pep Rally Friday morning. Earlier in the week, Van Meter challenged his students to get as many kids out to the pep rally as possible. If more than 200 students would come out, he'd allow his students to throw water balloons at he and Assistant Principal William Bradford. Needless to say, the students were able to come through.

For Week Five of the High School Season, News 8 is still looking for which high school to go to. If you want us to come to your high school, send us a video to our WQAD Facebook Page, about why we should come. Meteorologist Eric Sorenson will be in contact with your school, to see if we can come out!
