While they were in town for a class reunion, a couple from Kansas brought their car that's been more places than most, it has seen the entire country.

The couple, Kendall and Sherma Phelps went to a car show in Davenport, Iowa at Modern Woodmen Park Thursday, September 17, 2015 to show off their well-rounded 1939 Chevy.

The car has 95,000 miles on it and for each mile there's a new adventure and a memory.

The Phelps said they built the car and it "had a lot of blood, sweat, and tears, and a lot of crying" mixed in.  They even admitted to "one or two bad words."  The car was at one time covered with rust and filled with rat droppings.

"It took him a year and a half and we finally had it on the road," Mrs. Phelps said.

"And we're still married," Mr. Phelps chimed in, with a laugh.

They found a way to document their adventure, by getting the car show T-shirts from everywhere they go and adding them to a blanket in honor of a family member who died of cancer in 2005.
