Elementary students from around the Quad Cities got to learn about farming at the Annual AgXPerience event.

More than 1,100 students, teachers, and parent helpers are gathering at the Rock Island County Fair Grounds and the John Deere Pavilion for the 11th annual event.

On Wednesday, September 16, 2015 students gathered at the pavilion to see John Deere machines up close. Kids got to learn about the start of the company as well.

The event was set to last through September 18.  During that time, students would assemble snack packs at the fairgrounds to be donated to the RiverBend Foodbank.  Students would also get to see animals and learn about farm products and also learn about history of John Deere.

Since 2005, more than 7,000 students have taken part in AgXPerience.
