Thousands gathered in Hampton, Illinois to celebrate Labor Day but also to listen to Hillary Clinton speak.
Clinton's focus on Monday was helping the middle class. She said she wants to raise minimum wage but also create equal pay.
"Women who are working hard are not getting paid equally. This is not a women`s issue but a family issue," said Clinton.
She also pitched pro-union. Most of the people in the crowd belongs to a union.
Clinton says she'll protect collective bargaining rights, "We`re going to go back to enforcing labor laws. I'm going to make sure that some employers go to jail for wage theft and all the other abuses they engage in."
During today's event Clinton got an endorsement from Iowa Congressman Dave Loebsack.
