You may be seeing a lot of orange around town on Thursday, September 3, 2015. That's because it's Hunger Action Day.
With September being Hunger Action Month, the orange is a reminder to community members to donate to their local food banks.
The River Bend Foodbank in Davenport, Iowa helps provide food to Quad Citians in need. According to their website, in eastern Iowa and western Illinois, 132,000 people are impacted by hunger and do not know where their next meal is coming from.
Quad Citians can help by making a financial donation or by volunteering.
