Part of a 20-foot-high brick retaining wall collapsed onto the street overnight in the city of East Moline, Illinois.

It happened around 1 a.m. on Wednesday, August 26, 2015, in the 1800 block of 7th Street, near Illinois Route 92.

The bricks fell on the west side of the street, near Our Lady of Grace Church. That section of road was already blocked off due to a construction project, even before the bricks fell. The wall however, is still in tact.

East Moline Police say the wall was about 100 feet long. They also say two light posts were knocked down because of the collapse. No word yet on what caused the collapse.

City Administrator Cole O'Donnell said 7th Street will be closed for southbound traffic from 17th Avenue to 10th Avenue until further notice.
