One Ball State University freshman got the greatest gift of all for a college student – free tuition.
The crowd in Ball State’s gymnasium erupted with cheers when a freshman student sank a half-court shot. For making the shot during the 2015 Welcome Week, he got a semester of free tuition from President Paul Ferguson, according to the Ball State Sports Link Facebook page.
The school’s YouTube account says that the student was selected at random to attempt the shot.
What a way to start your first year of college.
