Police seek information regarding dog found shot in East Dubuque yard

Deputies in Jo Daviess County say they believe a small dog was shot in its yard and are looking for information.

An East Dubuque family let their pet dog outside around 5 a.m. Tuesday, August 18, 2015 and two hours later found the dog dead, according to the Jo Daviess County Sheriff's Office.  Authorities said they believe the dog was shot in its owner's yard on Michelle Court.

The dog was a six-year-old, 12-pound Pekingese, according to the sheriff's statement.
