A 23-year-old man died of injuries suffered when the vehicle he was driving rolled several times and came to rest in the yard of a home in rural Fulton, Illinois.

Branden Riddle, 23, was driving westbound on Holly Road when he lost control of his vehicle near the intersection of Elston Road, just after 1 p.m. Sunday, August 16, 2015.  The vehicle rolled several times before it “landed upright in a residential yard,” according to a statement from Whiteside County Sheriff’s Office Sergeant Kristopher Schmidt.

Riddle was extricated from the vehicle and taken by ambulance to a hospital in Clinton, Iowa, where he later died.

Two passengers – 22-year-old Skyler Russell and 32-year-old Katy Burger – were taken by ambulance to a hospital for treatment of their injuries.

A witness said Riddle’s vehicle was traveling at a high rate of speed at the time of the crash, Schmidt said.
