Portions of the Village of Hampton, Illinois, were under a boil order until Saturday, August 15, 2015.

Affected areas included Route 84 from 5th Street to Barrington Drive, including the Cherry Hill Condominiums; 3rd Street from 1st Avenue to Route 84; and 3rd Avenue A from 5th Street to 3rd Street.

“Residents and businesses in these areas are advised to boil their water used for drinking or cooking.  Water should be boiled for five minutes,” said a statement issued August 13, 2015, from village clerk Michael Toalson.

The boil order was in effect until “sometime Saturday, August 15,” Toalson said.
