The third annual “I AM Strong” 5k Mudventure race took place Saturday, August 8, 2015. The race, only open to females is an opportunity to bond and support each other through a challenging exercise, according to a spokesperson from the Junior League of the Quad Cities.

The mud run was held at Case Creek Obstacle Course in Coal Valley, Illinois. It included 22 obstacles, like tire flips, rope pulls, balance tests, and more.

All participants got a swag bag, t-shirt, and some snacks and drinks after the run.

The post-race party was set to be held at Mulligan’s where runners could enjoy free food and beer and listen to music.

According to the Junior League of the Quad Cities’ website, along with the league, the race benefits the Child Abuse Council and the Scott Community College Foundation Women’s Giving Network.
