What sets our music apart from the rest: “ We are not just a band. We are five guys that love making music but we are also pushing to make a positive movement in the community. We encourage people to open their minds and create their own opinion about everything that happens around us. We play heavy music which is the type of music that sometimes gets a negative reaction from people that don’t understand it. We are here to change that negative outlook. We have a positive message, good hearts, and are reaching out to do positive things in the community. Look out for the charity event we have coming up in August to raise money for a couple local charities. These are people/families that deserve our help and we are glad to give it to them!!”
As the band mentioned above, Still Standing will be participating in a benefit at River Music Experience on August 22, 2015. The event is called “Still Standing & Friends Benefit Concert.”
According to the description on Still Standing’s Facebook event page, the concert is benefiting two different causes. Half of the proceeds go to a family whose twin girls were born prematurely at 25 weeks. The girls suffer from heart and lung issues and the money will help the family, who is friends with the members of Still Standing, with medical expenses such as NICU stays. The other cause benefiting from the event is Genesis Hospital’s “Family Connects Program. ” The program aims to better provide prenatal and postpartum assistance to mothers diagnosed with gestational diabetes.
