More than 1,000 MidAmerican Energy customers and several thousand Ameren Illinois customers were without power Thursday evening, July 16, following a rash of severe weather.

In the Monmouth area there were more than 2,300 Ameren Illinois customers were without power.  North of Gladstone, Illinois more than 1,300 customers were without power.  Biggsville, Illinois had more than 75 customers without power.

In Henderson County,1,900 Ameren customers were without power; that’s about 50-percent of their customers in that area.

There were a total of 362 without power in Knox County; 1,240 in Mercer County; and 3,486 in Warren County.

By 7 a.m. Friday morning, only a few hundred of these customers remained without power.

Thousands without power after severe storms

In the Illinois Quad Cities around 9 p.m., there were 904 customers without electricity. There were 116 customers without power in the Iowa Quad Cities.

There were 278 customers without power in Hillsdale, 453 in the Rock Island area, and 164 in the Port Byron area.

Roughly 115 in Davenport were without power.

By 7 a.m. the Quad Cities area had had its power completely restored.
