Local players always have a significant following at the John Deere Classic, and that's definitely the case for Quincy, Illinois golfer, Luke Guthrie.
On Hole 1, Guthrie started off with a 10-foot stroke for birdie. He brought the heat on the back nine as well, when he shot a solid four-under 67. Guthrie is going into Sunday at five strokes behind the leader at 12-under par.
After finishing the round, Guthrie said he feels like he's getting better each day.
