A man riding a bicycle was accused of shooting another man in the leg, and later leading Davenport Police on a brief pursuit.

Jonathan Earl Moore, 28, of Davenport, was allegedly on a bike when he followed 23-year-old Jordan Anderson to the north alley in the 700 block of 14th Street at about 3 a.m. Sunday, July 5, 2015, according to an affidavit from Davenport Police.   Moore then allegedly shot Anderson in the right leg.

About two hours later, police said they tried to stop Moore near the 600 block of W. 14th Street.  Moore allegedly ran, but was caught after a block-long foot chase.

Police said they found a 9mm handgun on Moore and a magazine for it, with ammunition, in Moore’s pocket.

Moore was arrested and charged for the shooting, resisting arrest, and for being a convicted felon in possession of a firearm. Jail records showed Moore was held in the Scott County Jail in lieu of $10,000 bond.

Anderson’s injuries were reportedly not life-threatening.
