Man accused of selling crack cocaine in the Dixon, Illinois area

A Dixon man faced multiple drug charges after investigators say he was allegedly selling crack cocaine in the area.

Dixon Street Crimes detectives found out through a confidential informant that 32-year-old Adam Brand was selling crack cocaine in Dixon, Illinois, according to a statement from the Dixon Police Department.

With this information, police decided to make a controlled purchase from Brand, and then arrested him shortly after, according to the statement. When Brand was arrested, police say they found cocaine “on his person.”

Brand was charged with unlawful possession of a controlled substance with intent to deliver within 1,000 feet of a school, unlawful delivery of a controlled substance within 1,000 feet of a church, unlawful delivery of a controlled substance, and unlawful possession of a controlled substance, Dixon Police said.

Brand was taken to the Lee County Jail.
