At a home in Burlington, Iowa on Sunday, presidential candidate Hillary Clinton spoke to around 80 people about her views and policies she aims to tackle if elected President of the United States.

The small group settings are something Clinton said she enjoys getting to do on this campaign, as it gives her a chance to meet the voters face-to-face.

"That's why I do this, I know people are interested to get the razzle-dazzle and the big rallies, but I want to hear from the people, I want to know whats actually happening so that I can come up with proposals that may actually change people's lives," said Clinton.

One of the topics Clinton addressed in her speech was mental health, and how it was not an issue she advocated for until her stop in Davenport in April.

Honestly, if I had been in this beautiful home three months ago, I probably wouldn't have talked about it," Clinton said. "Then I came to Davenport and was sitting in a little cafe talking to four people, and one young man who is a hospital administrator [asked,] 'what are you going to do for all the people with mental health problems that we have no place for?'"

Clinton said along with mental health issues, she will push for increased bipartisanship between parties.

"I will go anytime, anywhere, and meet with anyone to find common ground, but I will also stand my ground for you," said Clinton.

Early childhood development was another big talking point in Clinton's speech on Sunday.

"I believe we need to do more to help every family better prepare their children from zero to five," said Clinton.

After her speech, Clinton shook hands and mingled with voters one-on-one.

"It was surreal, it was just super exciting. I really enjoyed all of Hillary's energy, I admire all of her work and I think she has such great vision," said Anja Priice, a Coralville resident.

"Being part of the democratic party, we get a lot of opportunities to see people like Hillary Clinton, people who are running for office and it's always thrilling to have somebody of that stature here," said Sandy Dockendorff, a Danville resident.
